[Product Description]

Collision experiment equipment

[Overall Advantages to Users]

  • Designed for a collision experiment between a ball and a block for qualitative confirmation of the kinetic energy conservation law.
  • Relationship between the potential energy and the kinetic energy is confirmed by because a moving distance of the block after collision with a ball is proportional to kinetic energy.
  • Potential energy (mgh) can calculate by a height of the start line of a ball rolling down on the slope of the equipment and a mass of a ball.
  • Speed at the moment of the collision for Kinetic energy can obtain by BeeSpi V, which is a speed measurement device.

[To all users]

  • Position of a ball at the start and the height (angle) of the track are changeable to meet the experimental condition.
  • BeeSpi V can measure the speed of a ball at the moment of the collision, and directly provides the speed because this is a stand-alone device and is not necessary to connect to a computer and any software.
  • The difference of distance of a block moved after the collision is proportionally the difference of kinetic energy.

[To teachers]

  • It helps learn;
     1. Relationship of height and speed.
     2. Relationship of impact force to an object and height/speed/weight.
  • The angle of slope is adjustable from 0 to 45 degrees and measure using a protractor on the side of the track.
  • You measure the distance of objects moved by the impact using a scale beside the track.

[To students]

  • Learners can confirm the proportional relationship between kinetic energy and potential energy through their experiments with this apparatus.
